¡Hola a todos! Hoy vengo con unos de mis post bilingües extensos porque les traigo una noticia que me tiene encantada (y que tenía sumamente guardada bajo llave) y que hoy por fin puedo revelar. La marca Picket Fence Studios me ha invitado a ser su Diseñadora invitada para su lanzamiento del mes de Junio. Me siento muy honrada y feliz poder ser parte de esta marca y tener la oportunidad de probar y jugar con sus productos.
Hi, everyone! Today I´m sharing exciting news with you because I can finally reveal that Picket Fence Studios invited me to be their Guest Designer for the June release! I´m very honored to be part of this incredible brand and have the opportunity to prove their products and play with them.
PFS me mandó una selección de los nuevos productos que hoy salen a la venta con los cuales creé cuatro tarjetas utilizándolos. Voy a ir mostrándoselas, explicando las técnicas y dejando los links a los productos.
PFS sent me a selection of their newest release and I create four cards with them. I´ll show them, explaining the technics and the names of the products with the links.
En esta tarjeta utilicé el set de sellos llamado «Done adulting for the day» que es hermoso, tiene esa chica en la playa con su super sombrero y un montón de frases divertidas para usar. Utilizando una máscara, tapé la imagen sellada y utilicé el nuevo stencil «Slim Line Stacks Stencil» con los nuevos colores de Paper Glaze Huckleberry Blue y los nuevos Paper Glaze Luxe Turquoise Jewelry y Artic Fox . ¿Podemos hablar del brillo que tienen esos Glaze Luxe gracias al glitter y la mica que tiene su composición? Es que deberían verlos en vivo y en directo para comprobar el efecto espectacular que tienen cuando seca. Y lo mejor es que no desprende brillo al secarse. Estas pastas son ideales para trabajar con stencils o solas.
In this card I used the stamp set «Done adulting for the day» which is a beautiful set, with that girl in the beach with her big hat just chilling with a cup of an «adult drink» hahaha. I also used here the new «Slim Line Stacks Stencil» with the new color of Paper Glaze Huckleberry Blue and the new product Paper Glaze Luxe in Turquoise Jewelry and Artic Fox colors. The new Glaze Luxe is a luxurious mixed media product which proves luster and shine to porous and nonporous surfaces. It´s a heavy body art medium that it´s infused with mica and glitter to glide across paper leaving a thick o thin layer of shimmer. I absolutely adore it! You can use with stencils or just as it is.
¿Amamos los arcoiris? Síííí. ¿Amamos los colibríes? Sííí. Y todo junto lo amamos más. Este set de sellos se llama «A hummingbird´s song» y es amor puro y la mejor forma de resaltarlo fue sellarlo con tinta negra y aplicarle polvo de embossing encima para agregarle ese toque de brillo. Este set también tiene una serie de frases preciosas que lo acompañan. El sellado fue hecho luego de hacer el blending de tintas. Creé nuevamente una máscara para proteger el sellado y utilicé el nuevo stencil «Slimline Moving Air» para aplicar otro material de Picket Fence que se llama Paper Glitz. Es un material mucho más líquido que el Glaze; se puede mezclar con otros medios para aportar brillo; solo, hay que colocarlo con cuidado pero el resultado es asombroso. Podría decir que me recuerda a ese tipo de pegamentos transparentes con glitter, pero con más cuerpo y que cuando seca, deja una capa del grosor que hayamos elegido, a diferencia de los pegamentos que cuando se secan dejan solo el glitter.
Do we love hummingbirds? Yesssss! Do we love rainbows? Yessssss! And together we love them even more! This stamp set is just pure love. It´s called «A hummingbird´s song» and it comes with some heartful phrases to combine. To make it pop, I made a rainbow background and stamp it on it with a black pigment ink. Then I create a mask with masking tape and applied Sparkle Paper Glitz using the new «Slimline Moving Air Stencil». The result is sparkly and shine and I love it.
Y aquí está mi preferida, que aun no tengo claro por qué lo es, pero lo es. Este hermoso set de sellos se llama «Princessland Dear» al que también podés sumarle los troqueles coordinados. El castillo, el dragón la princesa, el unicornio todos los elementos mágicos de nuestros cuentos de hadas presentes en este set. Creo que es la tarjeta más clásica de las cuatro que hice: fondo de tintas + sellos. Fue un volver a lo básico, y ahí estuvo lo que me enamoró. Para culminarla, agregué algunas lentejuelas que le aportaron el toque de luminosidad y brillo justo y necesario.
This is the card that I love the most. I don´t know why, but I think I might have a clue. This lovely stamp set called «Princessland Dear» features all the magical elements from my loved fairytales: the castle, the dragon, the princess and the unicorn. This stamp set connects me with my loved books, and the card has the basics: stamps, dies and inks, so I just have to love it. To finish the card, I added some sequins just to bring the necessary amount of light and spark to it.
Y esta tarjeta la dejé para el final porque fue en la que invertí más tiempo sobre todo en pensarla. Es una tarjeta tríptica en la que la «tapa» tiene un troquelado parcial y la segunda solapa está hecha con una hoja transparente con un mix de lentejuelas con una laminadora. Vayamos por partes. El set de sellos super dulce se llama «Birthday Girl Dear» y también tiene troqueles coordinados. Para hacer la hoja en la laminadora utilicé un pouch de 120 micrones con uno de los nuevos mixes de lentejuelas llamado «Unicorn Sparkle». Si observan con atención pueden ver los pequeños unicornios que trae. Es muy tierno. Lo cierto es que no quería hacer una shaker tradicional, y esto fue lo que salió, y la verdad que me encanta.
This tri fold card is made with the cute «Birthday Girl Dear» stamp set with the coordinated dies which I used to make a partial diecutting in the first flap. In the second flap I used a sheet made with a laminator pouch with the new sequin mix called «Unicorn Sparkle». I pass it through the laminator and I got this sparkly acetate alike sheet. You can see the unicorn shapes and little hearts in the photo. I really like how this card turned out.
Al terminar de probar todos los productos puedo decir que son increíbles, de una excelentísima calidad, tanto los sellos como los stencils y los glazes que me maravillaron. Los sellos tienen una excelente definición, y que tengan los troqueles combinados me parece destacable por lo útil y cómodo que es ello y por el abanico de posibilidades que nos abre los troqueles coordinados.
After working with all these productos I can say that they´re incredibles, a very high quality of products. I was amazed by the Paper Glazes and the new Luxes. The stamps have a very high definition and that we can purchase the coordinated dies it´s an useful thing, specially because all the range of possibilities we have with them.
